Island on the countryside
The design of a single family house on the wide open landscape urged for a firm socket. It also needed the concentration on inner values and the framing of picturesque views. A strict mathematical system underlies all proportions and measurements. The high commitment of the client, their affinity to Japanese architecture merged in a single story design with spaces gathering around a covered courtyard and sliding panels to open and close them according to weather and daytime.
